An oil tanker that sank two weeks ago off Guimaras Island has leaked about 20 percent of its load of 2 million liters (500,000 gallons) of bunker oil. The spill has damaged about 220 kilometers (137 miles) of coastline, 450 hectares (1,112 acres) of mangroves and 116 hectares (287 acres) of seaweed plantations in the province.
As ‘heavy rains and strong winds have been hampering efforts to clean up’ the whole fiasco or was it the media hype created by far ‘the worst oil spill to hit the Philippines’ i hope it makes you think twice on cruisin the ghetto with that SUV. As long as there is catastrophe- there will always be:
