Dennis Trillo By Dolly Anne Carvajal - Inquirer
Dennis Trillo is ecstatic about his self-titled debut album (Indimusic, Universal Records). It contains 12 tracks, including a duet with Regine Velasquez (album producer along with Ogie Alcasid) “Magtatagpong Muli,” Ogie’s composition “Para Sa Iyo,” the Air Supply hit “All Out of Love” and Eric Carmen’s “Love is All that Matters.” After proving his worth as an actor, Dennis is now bent on becoming a concert artist. “It’s harder to sing live than to act ‘cause walang take two,” says Dennis. “But singing is like acting. As an actor I get into character for the role to come to life. When I sing, I have to really feel the lyrics.”
Is he out to beat Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual who are also matinee idols-turned-singers? “They have their own style. I have mine. There’s room for everybody." Any special girl he had in mind while recording the album? “To whom it may concern na lang (laughs)!” For sure, legions of girls out there would gladly volunteer. |
