With Manny Pacquaio’s fight against Mexican Jorge Solis is just around the corner, every Pinoy here and abroad are all eager to watch the much anticipated fight slated this Saturday in Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas telecast live via GMA 7 on Sunday at 9 in the morning. Just as everybody is ready, Pacman as well is all set for this fight.
According to Justine Fortune, a conditioning expert, who stepped in to fill the shoes left by Freddie Roach (Roach is in Puerto Rico helping Oscar dela Hoya) to train Pacquiao, Manny’s physically fit and strong body is impossible, if not hard, to beat.Fortune believes that while they never underestimate Solis, he can call the fight against Filipino champ “Mission Impossible”. Likewise, Manny himself knew that Solis had worked hard for this fight but Pacman vowed that he will give a great fight for his countrymen. Pacquaio is determined to leave the ring the way he came in—as champion. Meanwhile, Freddie Roach confirmed in a telephone interview that he will be in Manny’s side during the fight. “Yes I will be in Manny’s corner. I’ll definitely be there,” said Roach, adding that his people at the Wild Card Gym are aware of it.RP-HARBOUR BASKETBALL TEAM BOWS TO INDONESIAAfter a triumph last Tuesday against Malaysia, RP-Harbour team lost in a stunning 79-74 score to Satria Muda Britama-Indonesia Thursaday night in the Southeast Asia Basketball Association Champions Cup qualifying tournament.Ian Crosswhite and Kueth Duany of Indonesia dominated most of the game outplaying Philippines’ imports Julius Nwosu and Vidal Massiah.Coach Junel Baculi said, that the loss is a learning experience for the RP Team .
